Fony is a bitmap font editor, originally created for editing Windows bitmap fonts in FON/FNT format. Fony runs on Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7 and newer. To run Fony on Windows 98/ME you may be able to use KernelEx; for Linux use Wine.

Raster Font Editor is am easy-to-use font editor for the creation of bitmap fonts. It supports several file formats and has a very simple yet fully customisable user interface.

Editor

The application can open font resource files (*.fnt) created by other tools such as Borland's Resource Workshop. It can import DOS 8x16 fonts, fonts from BMP images and can convert TTF fonts to raster fonts.

You can save your raster fonts as Font Resource (*.fnt), Resource Script (*.rc), Text (*.txt) and Windows Bitmap (*.bmp). Saving as Text file is useful for debugging purposes and creating text representation of characters

This is a beta version and does not contain any help. It is fully working though and we trust you can use it and start creating fonts immediately.

Hi there! Here you can find good desktop application for drawing monochrome bitmap fontsdedicated for embedded systems which have some kind of low-resolution displays. For example, LEDmatrices. When you open the application (further - 'Editor'), you see something looking likeon a figure 1. The application was written originally for 32-bit Windows 98/XP in 2004-2005. Visual Studio 2003 withMFC toolkit was used in those days. Logitech gaming software 10.15. Recently in 2019 I've spent some time to make refactoring andimprovement and rebuild it under fresh Visual Studio 2017 for recent versions of Windows (debuggedunder Windows 7). Despite my current position regarding MFCit's still there and the app is not cross-compiled under other operation systems. But I've checkedit under 'Wine' compatibility layer in Linux and it looks fine.
